Chinmaya Mission with about 300 centres spread all over the world has been rendering service in the spiritual, cultural, educational and medical fields. One of the most important projects of the Chinmaya Mission is the ‘Sandeepany Sadhanalaya’, where inspired and dedicated youngsters and sincere sadhakas (spiritual seekers) with an attitude of service are given an opportunity to study Vedanta in the ashram in a lifestyle characterized by spiritual sadhana.

The Sandeepany Sadhanalya, one of the foremost Institutes of Vedantic studies, was founded in 1963 by the great visionary and saint of modern times Pujya Gurudev Swami Chinmayananda. This ‘Academy of Knowledge’ is situated in Powai, Mumbai, India, among lush greenery and scenic beauty. In the ashram complex is the famous Jagadeeshwara Temple where Lord Shiva is seated in meditation posture. It is at this hallowed place that over 50 Vedanta Courses in English have been conducted and over a thousand students have graduated from this premier institute.
